Hello again Discovery Families,

Knowing you are not fully aware of this blog makes it slightly funny that I write to you.  Mrs. Hunter and I have already met to go over our curriculum and schedule for the year.  We have been involved in some inservice which will enhance our programming for this year and help us keep in line with ESM District Goals.

Each of us has received our class list and schedule of appointments for the first week.  We have been shopping for some new name tags, classroom decorations, art supplies and the basics (markers, gluesticks, etc.).  I think we are almost ready to begin the year.

Mrs. Feldmeier, our principal has just sent us our schedule for inservice and opening day for teachers (Sept 1 and 2).  The thrust this year seems to be Critical Thinking, a new Math Series and a new Handwriting guide.  We hope to also get the room organized and ready to begin meeting students on September 7th.  Mr. Chuck and his crew are busy cleaning our rooms, shampooing our carpet and waxing our floors.  All classrooms have had new windows installed as well.

Well, I am rambling on (my puppy woke me up at 5:30 this morning).  So, I decided to write this blog  before the rest of my family woke up!

Enjoy the State Fair!

This has been a busy summer.  We have all been enjoying the time with our families and September 1st will be here before we know it.  I am packing for a camping trip to Niagra Falls with my family.  We hope to fish, read, canoe and bike ride.  That will be a great end to the summer before we all get back into school mode.

I look forward to keeping in touch via this blog as the school year progresses.  I apologize for the ads involved.  If there is a link I would like you to visit, I’ll post it in a different color.

That’s all for now!
